Froma Harrop (born March 18, 1950, in New York City) is an American writer and author. Though liberal / left-of-center, she is known for her unconventional approach and libertarian streak.^{[citation needed]}

She is best known for her bi-weekly syndicated column which appears in about 200 news outlets including the Seattle Times, Newsday, Denver Post, Arizona Republic, Detroit News, Omaha World-Herald, San Antonio Express-News, Real Clear Politics and The Providence Journal.
