David Malan has worked professionally as an artist and illustrator for over a decade working with national and international clients including The Walt Disney Company, the United States Mint, The Weekly Standard and many others.

Born and raised in Utah, his influences have long included many classical artists of the 19th century and Golden Age illustrators.

Regular drawing in a sketchbook began early as a basis for all further creative growth and continues to be a fundamental part of his training. David employs a frank accurate approach to portray the emotions of the subject, and uses straight forward portraiture with highly polished painting.
